Dear Supporters and Friends:
I would like to thank all of the
volunteers and the voters who worked
so diligently in moving the campaign
from the primary to the general
election phase. I cannot begin to
count the number of positive phone
calls and well wishes that we have
received regarding the
professionalism and the openness we
all shared during this time.
We must, through this communication,
acknowledge that our opponent Darden
Rice ran a hard fought race. I would
like to thank her for her kind words
in her letter to her supporters, the
conversation we shared over the
phone, and her letter to the St.
Petersburg Times.
Now, we must focus on the race that
is before us. I believe that our
message is strong, I believe that we
have a solid platform, and I believe
that we can achieve a VICTORY on
November 4, 2008. We are gaining
county wide support everyday!
However, we also realize that we
have a tremendous amount of work to
do.
For those of you who have been there
with us from the very beginning, we
need for you to dig your heels in
and press forward. For those of you
who desire to join the winning team,
please contact us either by email or
by telephone. As with all campaigns,
we have a variety of needs- one of
which I am sure will meet your
desire to serve. We have
opportunities for canvassers, phone
bank calling, envelope stuffers,
sign wavers, and most importantly,
financial contributors. If any of
these areas are of interest to you,
then please do not hesitate to
contact us.
